Bluegrass Fiddling for Suzuki Teachers – Online and In-Person

This course will explore components of Bluegrass fiddling including: historical aspects, jamming, and fiddle techniques such as slides, improvised licks, double-stops, chopping, and bowings.
Suzuki teachers will learn how to incorporate fiddle tunes into their studio with ease, following the format used in “Fiddlin’ Favorites,” a series of books written by Lisa and Derek Deakins and licensed by the ISA.
Tuition includes both volumes of “Fiddlin’ Favorites”. Participants will receive the books before the course starts.

100% participation is required for course registration with the SAA.

This class will meet online and in person.

Tuition is $275 and includes a $150 nonrefundable fee. There will be no refunds after April 15, 2022.
